Orange Peels To Chamomile – Acid Reflux Alternative Medicine

By Kathryn Whittaker There are several acid reflux alternative medicine options available for you, but some may find this more problematic than useful. People can become overwhelmed by choice and may not be able to decide which remedy is best to choose. Thus, if you are struggling with making a choice, the list below will provide some of the more popular, and more proven, acid reflux alternative options. These suggestions can help guide you toward picking the best remedy for you. One: digestive bitters. Although the name suggests something you may not want to try, the results more than make up for it. Digestive bitters help with the digestive process, balancing out your system. The bitter taste reacts on the tongue and stimulates salvia. That, in turn, encourages your stomach to produce digestive juices, which help speed up the process of breaking down food that would, otherwise, put pressure on the stomach to produce more acid. This helps remove the need for excess acid production. Two: orange peel extract. Like bitters, this helps to strengthen the speed of your digestion process. This will keep your stomach from having to continually produce acids to break down food, which lessens your chance of having your throat burned, by the excess acid. This is generally considered one of the most popular alternative medicine methods. Three: gastric enzymes. Enzymes, like Pepsin, help to break down compounds in the stomach to make the digestion process easier. Food is quickly absorbed into the body and the build up of acids is removed. In order to work effectively, gastric enzymes should be taken before every meal. Four: chamomile. Though tea is often cited as a stressor for acid reflux, chamomile works differently. It encourages the stomach to digest food and simultaneously soothes any irritations. The latter can be of great benefit if you are suffering from stress, which is known to trigger acid reflux. With chamomile, your tension is less likely to bring on the symptoms. Note: if you have allergies to any plant in the daisy family, you should not take chamomile. Five: marshmallow herb. While this does not stop the symptoms of acid reflux, it can help to make symptoms less painful. This herb works well when your throat is irritated and you are feeling the pains of heartburn. Marshmallow herb counteracts them and makes them less of a problem. Keep in mind, however, that marshmallow herb is a plant and not the sugary treat. Therefore, do not think you can eat the campfire favorite and receive the same results. The above are just a few acid reflux alternative medicine choices you can talk to your doctor about, and use to help fight against reflux and its symptoms. However, it must be stressed that these are not cures. Just like prescription medications, alternative treatments merely help sooth symptoms. They do not stop acid reflux from occurring or remaining a part of your life. You cannot cure acid reflux, only prevent and relieve it. Sign up below for the free Acid Reflux newsletter and discover the many other natural treatments for treating and preventing acid reflux. Nonetheless, with acid reflux alternative medicine options, there is no question that you can have fewer acid reflux occurrences, and go back to enjoying the foods you like in moderation. Wedding Cake Tips

By Yolanda Nash Ok, you have spent a lot of time choosing the flavors for your wedding cake, the design and not to mention hundreds of dollars to get the wedding cake that you truly desire. All of this hard work will be wasted if it tumbles to the floor. How will you prevent this? Read on and I will give you some tips to avoid this situation. Keep your cake indoors. Wedding cakes and heat do not mingle well together not to mention the wind too. If you must have your cake out doors keep it in a cool shaded area if possible. Make sure where ever you place the cake it is fully level especially if you are having an outdoor wedding. Wedding cakes with pillars between each layers are more likely to tip so be sure to keep a close eye on the cake especially out doors in a windy environment. Have your baker deliver the cake as late as possible that way it has the least amount of time for any incident to occur. Following the tradition of shoving cake in each others face is a fun time but it can be a total disaster for your wedding gown so think twice about doing this. Make sure you have plenty of napkins and forks handy to avoid the habit of wiping your hands on your clothes or gown. Take a picture with your gown on and the cake first then change out of your gown into some more relaxing clothes to avoid staining your gown. Refrigerate your cake first if taking outdoors to avoid any melting. Have someone baby sit your wedding cake so it does not take any bumps or spills. Most of all just be very careful with your wedding cake or all of your effort will be wasted. Yolanda is the owner of Yolandas wedding favors and wedding planner. Ten Tips to Play Together, and Stay Together: Lessons from the Teepee Turn-around

By Dan Ohler There is an old expression, which may sound trite, but I believe it is true, People that play together, stay together. A couple (by marriage or some other agreement) can increase their chance of remaining a positive statistic, by creating a habit of engaging in fun activities together. These can be planned or spontaneous. When you have fun together, it creates positive memories, which act as seeds for a long, playful relationship. Carol operates a Bed & Breakfast and Country Vacation business. Through this, we have the opportunity to meet and learn about people from far and wide. Last summer John and Audrey arranged to stay with us, away from their Edmonton, Alberta home. They were both in their seventies, and had fond memories of time spent on farms when they were children. They thought it was time to revisit a farm and create some new fun memories. They arrived in mid afternoon, well ahead of when we expected them. I was repairing a fence, some distance from the yard and they did not see me as I approached. I stopped to watch the game. Audrey jumped out of the car and headed straight for the house. John went the other direction to a large teepee we have in our yard. Audrey, Audrey, come here. Look at this. John was pointing into the teepee. We better check-in first, John. No, come over here. It will just take a moment. OK. Look at what? She said begrudgingly as she peered into the teepee. Go in and Ill show you. Audrey crouched and stepped over a strap of canvas along the ground. John reached over and pinched her butt. Oh John! she said with a giggle as she stood up quickly inside. John jumped through the doorway and chased Audrey around the inside of the teepee, both of them laughing and giggling as if they were young children. John and Audrey had been together for over 50 years and I expect they will be together for many more years. While they were with us, they played horseshoes, bocci, and ping-pong together. We shared stories, joked, and laughed. They slept in the teepee to experience something new. They had perma-grins. It was a very good thing! I remember when we were first married, we knew that play was important too. I played hockey two or three nights a week, and Carol played volleyball and racquetball two or three nights a week. It was good exercise and sociability for both of us, but not with each other. And the result was resentment, defensiveness, and discontent in our relationship. It was not a good thing! Ten Tips to play together and stay together: 1. Plan a ten-minute meeting. You may need to mark it in your planner. Im serious here. Unless you schedule it, you may not do it. 2. Find a comfortable place to discuss fun things, away from the phone, friends, or kids. 3. Brainstorm all of the fun things that you would like to do together. Yes, that says together, not me today and you tomorrow. If you list forty ways and places to have sex that is fun, but it is just one thing. 4. Prioritize three things that you will do in the next week. These dont need to be majestic events, although they can be. It could be a romantic dinner, spa day, movie night, card game, or a walk in nature holding hands. Use your imagination and make them as wild and crazy, or as tame and relaxing as you wish. 5. Schedule these fun activities (dates and times) in your planner if necessary. These are agreements that you both commit to uphold. 6. Schedule another meeting next week to explore and plan the next weeks fun activities. 7. Keep your agreements, regardless of the other stuff in life. A failure to follow-through on these agreements sends a powerful underlying message to your mate about the importance of your relationship. 8. If an unforeseen, uncontrollable something occurs that would hold you from your commitment, renegotiate another time to which you both agree. Do not cancel the activity. 9. Continue this process for four weeks. You are creating a new habit. 10. Celebrate your accomplishment in a fun way. The celebration keeps you motivated. Choose one of the fun things you like to do together, but with the intention that it is a reward for your commitment to your relationship. Yeah, I know. Some of you are thinking, This is too structured. It will take away from the fun. It wont leave room for spontaneity. The point is this. Likely, you are not doing the fun things together now. Or if you are, you are not consciously recognizing them as such. Am I correct? Consciously commit to these Ten Tips and I guarantee that you will experience more fun and love in your relationship. Spontaneous fun will occur more often. You will approach each day with an uplifted attitude. There is always room for more happiness in my life. How about you? Dan Ohler is Thinkin Outside The Barn! Best Weight Loss Diet for Women

By Tina A. Women love to diet. At any give time, one of three women are on a diet. Yet more women are overweight than ever and a disturbing new study shows that binge eating is the most widespread eating disorder in the United States, surpassing bulimia and anorexia. Surely, there has to be a connection between food deprivation diets and the rate of increase in binge eating. I can definitely speak for myself. I first began binge eating after following a fad diet that controlled what food groups I could consume. During the two months that I was on the diet, I dreamed about all the foods I could not eat. These “forbidden foods” became an obsession. Needless to say when I went off the diet, I started over-indulging in all the foods I was deprived of during the diet. I told myself that I needed a reward for losing all the weight. In a few short months, the pounds I lost came back and I was stuck with an unhealthy new eating habit to boot. Maybe there is something wrong in the way we are trying to lose weight? Since most eating disorders affect far more women than men, there is really a cause for concern. Women need to re-examine the way they attempt to lose weight and the ultimate cost on their health and bodies. Although it sounds unfashionable compared to the latest fad diets out there, the best weight loss diet for women that ensures permanent results is one on which healthy portions from various food groups is allowed. A plan like this will ensure healthy weight loss without causing undue stress on the body. Women also need to keep in mind that fad diets are ageing. This is because fad diets put your body under stress and also deprive you of nutrients you need to keep your skin, nails and hair healthy. By following a healthy eating plan, you will not only gain an enviable figure, but will also look younger, have less wrinkles, strong nails and healthy hair. Along with healthy eating habits, the right exercise program for women will allow you will feel more relaxed and more confident in yourself. You will also sleep better allowing your body to repair and restore your body and skin. It is not called beauty sleep for nothing. The next time you come across a new weight loss diet that promises 10 lbs in 10 days ask yourself if it is worth risking your health and complexion to try something that sounds unhealthy anyway. You did not gain all your weight in a week. Why would you expect to lose it all in a week? Also remember that going on a fad diet could cause you to learn unhealthy eating habits and leave you feeling stressed and obsessed. Stop obsessing over weight loss. Learn about healthy eating and start living better today. Weight loss will happen automatically along with the side effects of better self esteem, peace of mind and healthy skin, hair and nails. Tina A. is the author of Easy Fat Loss For Women, a sensible approach to fat loss, not muscle or water loss. Her ebook contains valuable information on eating well, exercising the right way for fat loss as well as stress busting techniques to ensure you lose pure fat and look younger and more beautiful at the same time. Guidelines to Avoid Fraud When Buying a Prepaid Calling Card

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Eliza_Maledevic]Eliza Maledevic Indeed, prepaid calling cards can be seen and bought at many stores, retail sites, by mail and by the Internet. But, it is advisable that before purchasing a prepaid calling card, there are heaps of important things to be asked by the salesperson. One should ask about the in-sale call rate, the state-to-state, the international rates, if there is connection fees, a maintenance fees, the expiry date of the calling card, and the likes. This should be done especially to those first time prepaid calling card user and to those who are new to the brand type that they are going to purchase. Most of the time, the necessary information can be found in the wrapper of the prepaid calling cards. But if in case there are no information written to the wrapper of the card, better to contact its customer service and ask all the important questions one should know. But if the customer representative can not answer all the information about the prepaid calling card, better to look for other prepaid calling card company that can give the valuable information about the prepaid calling card. For someone to test a prepaid calling card that one is not familiar with is by buying a small value prepaid calling card and found out how it works. Take this note; never ever accept a prepaid calling card in which the scratch-off wrapper on the PIN or the Personal Identification Number has been removed. And do not accept a prepaid calling card if is doesnt provide terms and condition. One more thing, before purchasing a prepaid calling card, it is better to make sure that it has the necessary language, since most of the prepaid calling card tender taped instructions in languages apart from English. Mainly, prepaid calling cards are disposable, which can be thrown away after its use. But there is another type, which is relatively popular nowadays; this is frequently sold through the Internet or by mail. This is rechargeable by calling the company. There are also some prepaid calling cards that are advertised through the newspaper and magazines. One can order the card by phone and can be paid through a credit or debit card. Or it can be ordered by mail and can be paid with check or money order. There are lots of prepaid calling cards that are being sold through the Internet. And the mode of payments is by debit or credit cards. All the prepaid calling cards which are ordered by mail, phone or Internet are subject to shipping and it has about $10 per order of handling charges. For Effective Decisions, Look Beyond Career Stereotypes

By Cathy Goodwin You’ve probably been taught not to stereotype people based on race, religion or sex. But when you make a career or business decision, do you still make decisions based on stereotypes? “Insurance sales reps must be gregarious.” Hal, a successful insurance agent for many years, has developed a portfolio of loyal, happy clients. Hal can be described as an introvert. He rarely speaks unless spoken to, and then he speaks briefly and softly. His clients have learned that he’s a caring, dedicated agent who never misses a detail. “Accountants sit quietly and crunch numbers.” These days, accountants, especially those in the large firms, have to become experts at client relations. Often they’re expected to steer business towards the firm’s consulting division. “Want to travel? Be a travel agent!” Once upon a time, when nobody worried about security and airlines gave us more than an inch of legroom, I loved to travel. When I sought ways to combine my love of travel with a career, I would often hear, “So become a travel agent.” Surprise! Travel agents rarely travel. After all, someone has to stay in the office and answer calls from clients. A major perk involves the “fam” or familiarization trips, when agents are invited as a group to preview a new resort or discover a new locale. There’s rarely time for leisurely sight-seeing. These days, a corporate travel agent is more like a traffic cop than a friendly guide, charged with enforcing regulations of the company who pays her commission: “The non-stop flight is two hundred dollars more than the connecting flight with the two-hour stopover. Looks like you’ve got two hours in Cleveland.” After dealing with hundreds of less-than-thrilled employees, one agent told me he was quitting the industry, probably for the more serene life of a bill collector. “Big cities are unfriendly.” Any place will feel hostile to newcomers. I’ve lived in several of the largest cities in North America and found helpful, caring people everywhere. Often businesses are more helpful simply because there’s more competition. “The desert is all sand and cactus.” In the high desert of New Mexico, where I live, we have green trees, flowering plants, and snow in the wintertime. We have abundant fruit trees and sometimes we have to rake leaves in fall. “Small towns are conservative, you have to join a church and country club, and you must be married.” Probably some are. My town has less than twenty thousand people, yet I know lots of very happy residents who forego churches and country clubs in favor of coffee shops and art galleries. We have many single people and a sizeable gay population. Generalizations? Well, nearly everyone has a dog or cat and you’ll find numerous multi-pet households. How can you avoid stereotypes? Traditional career tests often are based on outdated or stereotyped visions of careers. Stereotypes of locations tend to be perpetuated by folks who have never visited, let alone lived there. I encourage anyone contemplating a life change to follow the Rule of Six. Talk to at least six people who have real, hands-on experience on the path you want to follow. If they clam up and say they’re too busy to talk, you’ve learned a great deal already. Most people will begin with a happy, party-line spiel. Dig deeper till you start uncovering negatives and warnings. On the rare occasions you hear a lot of negatives, keep going until you discover a positive. Harry almost gave up on his goal when four people talked about problems getting clients for a unique consulting business. After we talked, he realized they had all used the same time of marketing — and they weren’t very good at it. He broadened his search to gain a new perspective. The Bottom Line I’m always amazed at how many “experts” base recommendations on stereotyped versions of careers and places to live. That’s why you may be advised to become a funeral director or a florist when you really belong in outside sales. There’s no substitute for gathering your own information from people who have been there and back. If something sounds too good — or too bad — to be true, it probably is. Marketing’s Magic Bullet

By Harry Hoover Hundreds of “consultants” make millions of dollars each year teaching seminars and boot camps, and selling newsletters about marketing’s magic bullet – that one simple thing you can do to fill up your register with virtually no effort on your part. People buy this tripe because they want “simple” and “no effort” ways to move their business forward. All those magic bullet consultants are wrong. I have the secret and I am going to share it, but you won’t be happy about it. My marketing magic bullet: focus, discipline and consistency. Yes, my magic bullet involves some work on your part. Focus requires you to define your audiences, learn about their behavior, and then provide relevant and believable information, communicated in an original, impactful fashion. Discipline necessitates developing a marketing plan and implementing it aggressively. Your plan must also include a sales element. I know businesses that market and then just expect clients to flock to them with wallets in hand. Unfortunately for these businesses, it requires some effort on their part. Sorry, no passive income. Finally, we come to consistency. This means implementing your program even after you are tired of it. And don’t change your message and marketing tactics on a whim. The race goes to the marathon man, not the sprinter. Some other smart people agree with me. Business Coach Brent Dees says, “You can do anything, but you can’t do everything. If you focus, you can accomplish your goals.” Friend Bill Loeffler used to tell clients, “We can’t do everything. Let’s pick three marketing tactics and do them right.” Remember: focus, discipline and consistency. Unlike those other consultants, I won’t bill you for that magic bullet. Lock and load. Harry Hoover is a partner in My Creative Team. He has 30 years of experience in crafting and delivering bottom line messages that ensure success for serious businesses like Bank of Commerce, The Bray Law Firm, Brent Dees Financial Planning, CruisingTheICW.com, Duke Energy, Focus Four, Levolor, North Carolina Tourism, TeamHeidi, Ty Boyd Executive Learning Systems, VELUX, and Verbatim. Birthday Invitations: Some Helpful Tips for Celebrants

By Trevor Mulholland Birthday invitations are an important part of the whole celebration. They set the stage for the event and can influence the outcome of the party. They can get even the most reluctant invitee to change his mind at the last moment and attend the event. The important thing is to make these invites interesting to get the recipients full attention. Birthday invitations can be personally made using art kits, printed from free samples provided by the Internet, bought as packaged sets or sent through emails as e-cards. Whatever option a celebrant or a party planner chooses, knowing the basic parameters for these invites is very important. Invitations for birthday parties should give an idea what kind of party the guests will be attending. Whether it is a drinking party, a sit-down dinner, a costume event, a kiddie celebration or an activity or adventure celebration, the invitation should be able to tell the invitee what is expected of him or her. The theme of the party should be reflected in the invitations design and message. If there are instructions to guests like, what to wear, or they need to bring something to the party, the invitation is also the place to let them know about it. Technological developments, particularly computers, have made invitations really cheap, easy to make and fast to send. For free invites, the best option is e-cards sent through emails. Another money-saving type is free printable invitations offered by various Web sites that can be printed and reproduced using a copier machine. If they would be made personally, ideas and design suggestions are available in the Internet by the thousands. Kits for making them are also available at very low prices. For really busy people, buying packaged, ready-made invites is a reasonable option. Savings can be earned from this last option by buying a larger number. Invitations should always include the venue, date and time of the party. The theme of the event should also be reflected in the invitations. Before choosing them, take note of the kind of celebration that will be held; that is, whether it is a formal or an informal party. It might also be helpful to include the celebrants telephone number or email address on the birthday invitations so that guests can confirm their attendance. The invitation will usually be styled accoding to the celebrants wishes. This could mean a very vibrant happy happy card, or somewhat subdued.
